Kelso Campus FAQ's
Is TFH in Kelso a new church? - TFH Kelso is neither a new church nor a church plant, but a satellite campus of The Father's House which has existed in Vancouver WA since 1962. The Saturday evening services in Kelso is a duplicates service to the Sunday gatherings that take place in Vancouver. TFH is one church, with one pastoral staff, one leadership team, one vision, and one style of ministry.
Why did TFH come to Kelso? - We didn't. Kelso came to us. Our pastor, Steve Parrish, lived and served in Longview/Kelso from 1995-2002 and then moved to Vancouver to pastor The Father's House. Over the years, a large number of people moved to Vancouver from the Kelso area, and a large number made the journey each week from the Kelso area to the Vancouver campus. Nine of our fourteen Leadership Team Families have their original roots or live in the Kelso area. The decision for a Kelso Campus was motivated by the need to more effectively take care of our church family and the desire to help them effectively win their family and friends to Jesus Christ without traveling 50 miles! Is the preaching simulcast or recorded video? - NO. We have live worship, live teaching/preaching, and a pastoral team that is on-site every gathering.
Where is TFH located in the Three Rivers Mall? - TFH is located in what is known as the old Emporium in the Three Rivers mall. This is on the East side of the mall - please use the parking lot entrance.
Do you have Nursery or Kid's Church? - We have nursery for children through age three during our entire gathering, and Kid's Church for children Pre-School though Grade 5 that meets during the preaching in the adult sanctuary.
Aren't there enough churches in the Kelso area already? - NO! The greater Kelso area includes 34,000 households with 5% who attend a local church. We want to help to increase those numbers in whatever city we have an opportunity! We appreciate the great work that area churches are doing, and think everyone with a Kingdom perspective will celebrate additional help in HIS harvest field.
Are you affiliated with Father's House church in Longview? - No. Father's House in Longview is a great church led by Pastor Chuck Tilton which meets on Sundays on Commerce Ave. We have similar names and similar missions - we are both striving to win two adjacent communities and one entire county to Jesus Christ. If you become confused and end up at their gathering - ENJOY! We are more interested in making Jesus famous and building the Kingdom than anything else!
